A global MNC is looking for a high-caliber Director of M&A/Investment to help drive the Asia Pacific/Greater China business expansions.
The Role
- Lead the identification, assessment and execution of M&A transactions, strategic investments, divestitures, joint ventures and partnership opportunities across APAC.
- Drive corporate development initiatives with a strong focus on Greater China and broader North Asia markets.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of investment and acquisition opportunities aligned with strategic business objectives.
- Evaluate market trends, competitive dynamics and emerging opportunities across the media, entertainment, gaming, technology and digital content sectors.
- Build detailed financial models, valuation analyses and investment cases to support decision making.
- Lead commercial, financial and strategic due diligence processes.
- Structure, negotiate and execute transactions in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
- Prepare investment committee materials, board presentations and executive-level recommendations.
- Manage relationships with founders, entrepreneurs, investment banks, private equity firms, venture capital investors and industry participants.
- Partner with business leaders to support post-transaction integration and value creation initiatives.
- Monitor portfolio investments and strategic partnerships where applicable.
Your Profile
- Approximately 8-15 years of relevant experience gained from:
- Investment Banking M&A (TMT, Media, Entertainment or Gaming coverage);
- Private Equity, Growth Equity or Principal Investment platforms;
- Corporate/Business Development, Strategic Investments or Corporate Finance functions within relevant industries
- Demonstrated transaction experience across acquisitions, minority investments, strategic partnerships and joint ventures.
- Strong understanding of the China market, including industry landscape, key participants and regulatory considerations.
- Prior APAC regional exposure is strongly preferred
- Excellent commercial judgment, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
