Our client is a leading international Financial Institution with a strong growth plan in place in their global markets business in Hong Kong. Committed to transforming and making positive impacts across the businesses, the company is seeking an experienced project manager to drive and manage the firm's strategic initiatives across the equities and derivatives trading business.
The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:
- Lead the development and execution of key strategic initiatives across equities and derivatives markets, including cross-border programmes to enhance liquidity, market efficiency and integrity in line with regulatory and organisational priorities
- Analyse global market developments and regulatory trends, providing forward-looking insights and shaping strategies to address the evolving needs of market participants
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including technology teams, clients, regulators and regional partners, to enable effective collaboration and alignment
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of strategic programmes, including planning, budgeting, and execution
- Maintain strong communication channels with key stakeholders, providing timely updates on project progress, risks, and emerging issues.
- Lead, manage, mentor and develop a high-performing team.
Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:
- University degree with min. 10 years relevant experience in financial markets, securities / derivatives trading, equity sales and / or equity research
- Experience in front office trading and / or trading strategy would be advantageous
- Proven experience in leading / executing strategic and business initiatives in sizeable, cross-departmental and complex financial institutions
- Strong market research, project management, analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong knowledge of cross-border programs, equities and / or derivatives markets
- Skilled in presenting complex ideas and influencing stakeholders, proactive, and effective in building cross-functional relationships
- Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese
