Key Responsibilities
As a Power BI & Data Developer, you will be responsible for building end-to-end data solutions, from robust pipeline orchestration to high-performing dashboards. Your scope of work will include:
- Dashboard Design & Build: Design, develop, and deploy intuitive, high-performing Power BI dashboards tailored to business requirements.
- Semantic Modeling: Create, manage, and optimize robust Power BI semantic models to ensure accurate and streamlined reporting.
- Data Modeling & Table Design: Architect and implement efficient data models and table structures within MS Fabric Lakehouse and Databricks environments.
- Data Pipeline Development: Build, maintain, and optimize scalable data pipelines leveraging MS Fabric Lakehouse and Databricks.
- Problem Resolution & Documentation: Tackle technical issues methodically, perform root-cause analysis, implement preventive measures, and document findings to build collective team knowledge.
- End-to-End Delivery: Take full ownership of deliverables, proactively communicate status and dependencies, and ensure high-quality outputs within an Agile/Scrum framework.
Role Requirements
Technical Qualifications
- Experience: 4 to 7 years of professional experience in data development and business intelligence roles.
- Core BI Stack: Strong proficiency in Power BI, DAX, and Power Query.
- Data Modeling: Advanced expertise in semantic data modeling and database table design.
- SQL Mastery: Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and extensive experience working with SQL Server.
- Modern Data Architecture: * Proven experience working with Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse (creating, managing, and optimizing tables).
- Familiarity with Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold data layers).
- Familiarity with OneLake and its direct integration with Power BI.
- Agile Delivery: Solid experience working within Agile/Scrum development practices.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with ETL development using PySpark or Scala.
- Experience with data pipeline orchestration using Databricks workflows/jobs.
- Familiarity with BI UX/UI best practices for clean, user-friendly dashboard layouts.
