Join a well-established and forward-looking shipping firm with global presence. Due to business expansion, we are actively recruiting for an Accounting Manager to be part of the established business in Singapore.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Director and managing a team of 10, you will be overseeing the timely preparation and submission of monthly OPEX reports for all vessels assigned under various entities. This role will be required to manage and maintain positive working relationship with ship owners on vessel accounting, work closely with the technical team as well as other departments in obtaining reporting data, with continuous monitoring and weekly reporting of the fund status of the principals. You will review the funds position of ship owners and advise the team on shortfall and follow-up actions. Other key responsibilities include spearheading the implementation of the business transformation innovation for accounting team, ensuring compliance with approved accounting regulations, analyzing and reviewing financial reports, schedules and reconciliations to validate the accuracy of transactions. Last but not least, to work closely with external auditors, attend meetings with ship owners and other external stakeholders when required.
Your Profile
To qualify for this role, you must have a Bachelor Degree in Accountancy with minimum 8 years of relevant accounting experience ideally in Big 4 and shipping MNCs. It is essential to have strong knowledge in financial reporting and accounting standards. We are seeking a detail-oriented, resourceful, and proactive Finance professional with excellent interpersonal skills.
