This is a senior leadership role responsible for leading the local FIC sales team and further developing the bank's institutional investor franchise across Asia. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving client acquisition, expanding wallet share and growing the bank's fixed income and FX business, with a focus on China-related opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the institutional FIC sales team in Singapore, while remaining hands-on in key client relationships and business development.
- Develop and execute the regional sales strategy across asset managers, hedge funds, banks and other institutional investors.
- Expand relationships with new and existing institutional clients and drive revenue growth across the franchise.
- Grow the bank's Fixed Income business and distribute a broad range of fixed income and FX products, including cash bonds, repo, rates, credit and structured solutions across Asian and global markets.
- Work closely with Trading, Structuring and other Global Markets teams to originate ideas and deliver relevant solutions to institutional clients.
- Support the continued development and adoption of the bank's electronic trading platforms.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in institutional sales within Fixed Income / FIC / Global Markets, ideally gained within an international or regional bank.
- Strong relationships with institutional investors across Singapore and the broader Asia region.
- Good understanding of fixed income and FX markets; exposure to China/RMB products, CIBM or China credit would be advantageous.
- Demonstrated track record of developing new client relationships and generating revenue.
- Previous team leadership or people-management experience.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to combine franchise building, client coverage and team leadership.
- Mandarin capability would be advantageous given the interaction with China-based stakeholders and product teams.
