Our client is a leading global institutional investor managing a large, diversified portfolio across asset classes and markets worldwide. They are seeking an AVP/VP to join their Portfolio Integrated Services team - a critical function responsible for the integrity, quality, and stewardship of enterprise-wide investment data.
The Role
You will play a key role in shaping the future roadmap of Portfolio data, with a focus on the Investment Book of Records (IBOR), data analytics, and exposure measures. You'll be the central interface between investment, risk, reporting, and technology teams - ensuring data remains trustworthy and fit for purpose across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Manage end-to-end data operations: monitor, investigate, and resolve day-to-day data incidents
- Own data quality - designing metrics and monitoring standards across enterprise data
- Partner with Data Engineers and business stakeholders to scope and implement data solutions
- Drive UAT for data and system changes
- Manage relationships with internal and external data vendors
- Identify and recommend process/operating model improvements to reduce risk and enhance governance
What You'll Bring
- Degree with 5-8 years' experience, including 3+ years hands-on in total portfolio, data management, or data analytics within investment/banking
- Strong stakeholder management skills - comfortable balancing competing priorities across teams
- Familiarity with SQL, Tableau, and data warehouse/data modeling concepts
- Experience with SDLC and/or Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Exposure to MS SQL, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, or Informatica is a plus
- Background in economics/finance is preferred
