Your new company
A conglomerate is looking for a Head of Risk to join their Singapore Group Office.
Your new role
We are partnering with a leading and highly respected organisation to appoint a Head of Risk for a newly created leadership position. This is a unique opportunity for an accomplished risk professional to establish and shape the enterprise risk agenda across a diverse portfolio of businesses and investment entities.
Reporting to senior leadership, the successful candidate will have the mandate to design, embed and continuously enhance a best-in-class Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and governance framework. Rather than stepping into a mature function, this role offers the rare opportunity to build the risk capability from the ground up, influence organisational strategy, and establish a strong risk culture across the organisation.
This position would suit a commercially minded leader who enjoys creating frameworks, influencing senior stakeholders and driving meaningful organisational change.
What you'll need to succeed
* Degree in Finance, Business, Law or a related discipline.
* Professional qualifications such as FRM, CFA, CA, CPA or recognised compliance certifications would be advantageous.
* Approximately 15-20 years' experience across Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit and/or Regulatory Risk.
* Experience within investment management, financial services, sovereign wealth, asset management, insurance, banking or organisations with complex investment portfolios will be highly regarded.
* Demonstrated experience building or transforming enterprise risk frameworks rather than solely operating within established environments.
* Strong understanding of corporate governance, regulatory compliance and enterprise-wide risk management methodologies.
* Proven ability to influence senior executives and Boards, balancing strong governance with commercial pragmatism.
* Excellent stakeholder management, communication and change management skills.
What you'll get in return
This is more than a traditional Head of Risk appointment-it is an opportunity to define the future risk landscape of a highly regarded organisation.
The successful individual will have the autonomy to:
* Build and establish the enterprise risk function from the ground up.
* Influence governance standards across a broad and diverse group of businesses.
* Partner directly with senior leadership on strategic decision-making.
* Create a lasting organisational impact by embedding a proactive risk culture.
* Lead a function that will continue to evolve as the organisation grows and expands its investment portfolio.
For senior risk professionals seeking a genuine platform to leave a legacy, this represents a rare opportunity to build, shape and influence an enterprise-wide risk function at the highest level
