Our client is an established international financial services organization with a growing presence across the region. They are looking for a Senior Associate, AML to join their Singapore team.
Reporting to the Global AML Team Manager, the role will focus on AML onboarding, risk assessment and escalation across Singapore, Australia and other international jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess individual, corporate and Introducing Broker account applications, including AML risks and supporting documentation.
- Act as an SME and escalation point for complex onboarding matters, including account closures, deceased clients, joint accounts, POA and application anomalies.
- Conduct investigations, exercise sound judgement and escalate suspicious or higher-risk matters where required.
- Ensure adherence to applicable AML regulations and maintain clear audit trails and documentation.
- Work closely with KYC, Anti-Financial Crime, Sales, Client Management and Client Experience teams.
- Contribute to process improvements, training and other AML-related initiatives while meeting individual and team targets.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in AML/KYC, client onboarding or new account processing, with team leadership or senior-level experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of AML principles, regulatory requirements and risk-based assessment.
- Strong analytical, investigative and decision-making skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and perform well under pressure.
- Strong communication, organizational and stakeholder management skills.
- Client-focused, solution-oriented and commercially aware.
