Having continued to invest selectively across its European franchise, the firm is seeking a Vice President to join its growing M&A team in Madrid.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced investment banking professional to join a highly regarded advisory platform and play a key role in the execution and origination of transactions across Spain and the broader European market.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior bankers and clients, lead the day-to-day execution of live mandates, and contribute to the continued growth of an established and expanding M&A franchise.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of sell-side, buy-side, merger, carve-out, and strategic advisory engagements.
- Act as a primary day-to-day contact for clients, investors, management teams, and other transaction stakeholders.
- Oversee financial modelling, valuation analysis, due diligence processes, and transaction documentation.
- Manage and mentor Analysts and Associates, ensuring the delivery of high-quality client work.
- Coordinate transaction processes from marketing through to signing and completion.
- Support business development efforts through pitch preparation, client relationship management, and market coverage initiatives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with private equity investors, corporates, entrepreneurs, and advisers across Spain and Europe.
- Contribute to the continued expansion and strategic growth of the franchise.
Candidate Requirements
- 6-10 years of relevant experience within Investment Banking, M&A Advisory, Corporate Finance, or a related transaction environment.
- Strong track record of executing M&A transactions and managing complex deal processes.
- Excellent financial modelling, valuation, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Experience leading junior team members and coordinating transaction workstreams.
- Strong commercial acumen with an interest in building client relationships and supporting origination efforts.
- Exceptional project management and organisational capabilities.
- Fluent Spanish and English are required.
- Additional European language skills would be advantageous.
