Job Description
A leading international private bank is seeking a Senior Operational Risk Manager to strengthen its operational risk framework, ensure regulatory compliance, and support group-wide risk governance across an international banking environment.
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process across the organization
Oversee the outsourcing and third-party risk management framework, ensuring appropriate governance and monitoring
Ensure the operational risk framework remains aligned with applicable regulatory requirements and industry best practices
Support the implementation and continuous enhancement of operational risk policies, processes, and controls
Promote consistency of operational risk practices and governance across the Group
Monitor operational risk exposures and recommend appropriate mitigation measures
Collaborate with business units, control functions, and senior stakeholders to strengthen the risk culture
Support regulatory initiatives, audits, and risk-related projects as required
Prepare risk reporting and presentations for senior management and governance committees
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Bank's operational risk management framework
Requirements
University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum 10 years of experience in Operational Risk, Internal Audit, Risk Management, or a related control function within the banking or financial services industry
Strong expertise in operational risk frameworks, regulatory implementation, and risk governance
Experience with Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), outsourcing risk, and third-party risk management
Good understanding of banking regulations and operational risk best practices, including FINMA requirements
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders across the organization
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Avaloq is considered an advantage
Fluency in English is required, with a very good command of French; German is considered an asset
