Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Unarmed Security Officer to support daily operations at a commercial property in Cheyenne. This position is responsible for helping maintain a secure and welcoming environment by monitoring site activity, controlling access, conducting routine patrols, and providing exceptional service to employees, visitors, and contractors.

Primary Responsibilities

Property Patrol & Site Monitoring

• Conduct routine patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, construction zones, and surrounding property.
• Observe daily activity to identify potential security concerns or unsafe conditions.
• Inspect assigned areas for hazards, maintenance issues, or unauthorized activity.
• Maintain a visible presence that supports a safe and orderly environment.
• Report unusual conditions promptly to the appropriate personnel.

Access Control

• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas.
• Verify authorization before permitting entry to controlled locations.
• Assist with visitor access procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor contractor and vendor activity while on the property.
• Help ensure compliance with site security procedures.

Customer Service

• Provide courteous assistance to employees, visitors, vendors, and guests.
• Answer general questions and provide directions when appropriate.
• Communicate respectfully and professionally during every interaction.
• Promote a positive experience while maintaining security awareness.

Incident Response & Reporting

• Respond appropriately to incidents following established post instructions.
• Notify supervisors and designated site contacts when situations require attention.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports and detailed incident documentation.
• Record observations, security concerns, and operational issues in a timely manner.
• Follow all company policies, post orders, and client-specific procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain attentive while working independently.
• Professional appearance and dependable attendance.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment during routine and unexpected situations.
• Basic computer skills for electronic reporting.
• Ability to successfully complete required background screening.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, customer service, facilities support, or a related field.
• Experience monitoring commercial or business properties.
• Familiarity with access control procedures and report writing.
• Strong observation and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
