This Edinburgh-based asset manager keeps hiring
An Edinburgh-based asset manager is displaying a persistent appetite for adding staff.
Kames Capital, which has offices in London and Edinburgh has been building its fixed income team and has hired Claire McGuckin as an investment manager from Legal and General Investment Management. In January, Kames hired Debbie King, Garvin Peoples and Paul Dilworth - also for its fixed income team. In November, it hired Greg Mackay, and last July it hired Stephen Snowden.
Financial News reports today that recruitment at asset management firms is holding up far better than at investment banks and that there's particular demand for people to work in sales and marketing roles.
Aberdeen Asset Management has just reported a 14% increase in profits and a 9% increase in assets under management.
