Siddique will be joining Citadel's London international equities team, run by Drew Gillanders. He's understood to be arriving in early 2026 after a period of gardening leave.
Siddique spent three and a half years at Point72 and previously worked for Horizon Asset, Carmignac and UBS.
Citadel declined to comment on Siddique's eventual arrival.
Speaking to students last year, Gillanders said he spends a lot of time interviewing and that when he does, he sets out to understand, "how people will react both in a draw-up when they’re making money and in a draw-down, when they’re losing it."
Citadel has hired from Point72's equities team before. Justin Lubell, its global head of equities, joined from Point72 in 2020 and has hired various former colleagues. Robert Banham joined as partner last year. Gillanders himself joined from Point72 in 2019.
