Evercore just promoted these 21 MDs on $300k salaries. Some are recent joiners

If it likes you, boutique bank Evercore will pay you handsomely. It's just promoted 21 new managing directors (MDs)  who are presumably the beneficiaries of its great gratitude.

The names of the new MDs are listed below. Many are Evercore lifers, who have typically been there around eight years after joining as associates. Several, however, are not.

One new Evercore MD, Raoul Mansour, joined only last year (from Lazard). Another, Tasos Arampatzis, arrived 20 months ago from Credit Suisse. In New York, James Hyland joined two years ago from Goldman Sachs.

As Evercore expands, the implication is that you can go there to make MD.

The H1B database says Evercore's new MDs make salaries of at least $300k in the US. In London, headhunters say MD salaries are close to £250k.

MDs at Evercore are a bit like junior MDs or senior directors at other banks. The firm also has a class of 'senior managing directors' 15 of whom were promoted at the end of January.

These are MD promotes, not SMDs (Partner level folks right)? I think at Evercore, SMD is what most are focused on

Also make the same note as another commentator - Taubman is not CEO of Evercore

Pretty sure Paul Taubman is not the CEO of Evercore... He literally named another firm after himself.
