Job Description
Join an international financial services organisation as a Junior Accountant, supporting day-to-day accounting activities, reconciliations, reporting and year-end processes across a portfolio of companies and bank accounts.
Responsibilities
- Record accounting entries for various bank accounts and companies.
- Process bank transactions, intercompany transactions, investment movements and revaluations.
- Manage foreign exchange revaluations, accruals and prepayments.
- Review and control incoming invoices and expenses.
- Liaise with Treasury regarding supplier payments.
- Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with quarterly funding requests and management accounts.
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and year-end closing processes.
- Assist with audit and reporting requirements where necessary.
- Maintain accurate and organised accounting and corporate administration files.
- Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports.
- Support the accounting team with various projects and contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes.
Requirements
- Accounting qualification, relevant accounting studies or equivalent professional experience.
- 1-2 years of experience within an accounting department or similar environment.
- Good understanding of accounting principles; knowledge of IFRS is an advantage.
- Fluent professional French and English.
- Good command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong IT skills and ability to quickly learn and adapt to new accounting systems and software.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Reliable, proactive and able to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
- Strong sense of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive financial and corporate information.
- Comfortable working in an international environment and managing multiple priorities.
