Description
We're looking for an experienced practice accountant to join our friendly and growing Honley team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, preparing high-quality accounts and tax work, and developing their career within a supportive and collaborative firm.
You'll work with a varied portfolio of clients, taking responsibility for preparing accounts and tax returns, producing management information, and acting as a trusted point of contact for clients. Whether you're AAT qualified or progressing towards ACA or ACCA, this role offers excellent opportunities to continue developing your skills and career.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Prepare Corporation Tax and Self Assessment Tax returns accurately and within deadlines.
• Produce management reports and financial information for clients.
• Support clients with Making Tax Digital requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing professional advice and responding to queries.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an excellent client experience.
• Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently and in line with firm and regulatory standards.
Key Requirements
We're looking for someone with previous accountancy practice experience who enjoys working with clients and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. Ideally, you'll have:
• AAT qualification or be studying towards ACA or ACCA.
• Experience preparing accounts and tax returns within an accountancy practice.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage and Dext.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• A proactive approach and a genuine desire to continue learning and developing.
