The Top Ten Ideal Employers in APAC, 2024
8,000 people selected JPMorgan as the Ideal Employer globally in financial services. The bank is the most popular in the world by a country mile, but the top ten behind it is extremely competitive. Where do Asian banks - including some of the biggest in the world - stack up?

Unfortunately, not that well. Voters in APAC, like the rest of the world, still consider JPMorgan the best place to work in financial services - and unlike European voters who aspire to work for European banks, they say they would rather work for American firms than local ones.
The only Asian firm ranking as an Ideal Employer for Asia in our top ten is DBS bank, which came seventh. A handful of APAC firms, such as the Australia & New Zealand Banking Group and OCBC's Bank of Singapore, languish in the teens.
What makes JPMorgan so popular in Asia? Our APAC respondents praise JPMorgan’s potential in offering a long-term career, as well as the perceived approachability of its culture. It is also considered an employer of integrity for many respondents, more than in other regions.
JPMorgan credits its “extensive geographic footprint across 16 markets” in APAC for its success in the region, with the backing of “a fortress balance sheet” positioning it well to “continue to grow and expand in the world’s most dynamic region.”
