Background
We are seeking a VP – Finance, HR & Admin to lead the functions at a multi-family office in Hong Kong. The position will perform and oversee financial control, SFC regulatory reporting, and HR management and Administration, ensuring the firm maintains its strong compliance record and delivers transparent, high-quality financial and HR management to support growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management : Lead internal financial accounting, regulatory reporting, and finance operations, ensuring accurate books, timely reporting, and clear visibility of profitability and fee structures.
- Regulatory Reporting : Responsible for FRR filings and liquidity capital monitoring. Maintain the firm’s clean audit record and act as the primary liaison with auditors and regulators.
- NAV & Fee Oversight : Oversee NAV and fee calculations for separately managed accounts, performed jointly with fund administrators. Provide independent validation and challenge to ensure accuracy.
- Custodian & Administrator Coordination : Manage financial flows and reconciliations across custodian banks and administrators, ensuring transparency in execution costs and fee rebates.
- Systems & Infrastructure Oversee the accounting and portfolio management systems currently in use, driving improvements in automation, reporting, and integration with custodians.
- HR Management: Manage full recruitment cycle, compensation & benefits, HR policies and regulatory filings
- Administration: Provide office admin support including equipment supplies, expense management etc.
Key Requirements
- Degree holder in Finance, Accounting or related discipline
- 10+ years’ experience in Finance and HR roles within multi-family office or external asset managers environment
- Strong knowledge of Hong Kong SFC regulations, FRR, financial control, and liquidity capital monitoring
- Proven ability to lead small finance/ops teams in lean environments
- Commercial mindset with the ability to balance compliance and growth
- Excellent communication skills for internal stakeholders including C-Suites
