Overview
We are seeking experienced Product Controllers (Associate to VP) for multiple global investment banks. Depending on candidates' background, you will support either Equities, Prime / Delta One, Fixed Income/ Structured Credit, or investment banking businesses across Asia Pac. The role partners closely with Front Office, Risk, Operations and Finance to ensure accurate P&L reporting, robust controls and sound valuation governance.
Key Responsibilities- Produce and validate P&L, ensuring accurate revenue attribution and analysis.
- Review and interpret P&L movements, trading activity, market impacts and balance sheet fluctuations.
- Partner with trading desks and business management to provide financial analysis and performance insights.
- Perform valuation reviews, IPV and assessment of valuation adjustments/reserves.
- Review and substantiate balance sheet accounts
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, regulatory requirements and internal control standards.
- Participate in new product approvals and provide guidance on accounting and financial impacts.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives and enhancement of reporting and control frameworks.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
- CPA, CA, ACCA or CFA qualifications preferred.
- 5-10 years of Product Control, Valuation Control, or Markets Finance experience gained from global investment banks
- Proven knowledge of one or more asset classes including Equities, Prime/ Delta One, Fixed Income/ Structured Credit, IBD
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Excel, SQL, Python, VBA or reporting tools is advantageous.
