About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading financial institution with a strong presence across capital markets, investment banking, and securities businesses. The Treasury function plays a critical role in managing the firm's liquidity, funding, balance sheet, and regulatory requirements across the region.
Due to the lean and collaborative nature of the team, this role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure across both Treasury Execution and Treasury Control functions, making it ideal for candidates seeking a broad treasury career within a dynamic financial institution.
Location: Singapore or Hong Kong
Key Responsibilities
1) Treasury Dealing & Execution
- Execute funding and liquidity management activities
- Monitor cash positions and funding requirements across multiple entities and currencies.
- Execute money market, FX, and other treasury-related transactions in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support liquidity optimization and balance sheet management initiatives.
2) Treasury Control & Reporting
- Monitor and report liquidity, funding, and regulatory metrics.
- Support ALM activities, including balance sheet analysis and interest rate risk monitoring.
- Prepare treasury management reports for senior management, committees, and regulators.
- Ensure adherence to treasury policies, controls, and governance frameworks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- 3-6 years treasury experience gained within a bank, securities firm, financial institution, or corporate treasury environment.
- Experience in either:
- Treasury dealing, funding or treasury execution; or
- Treasury control, liquidity and cash management
- Candidates with exposure to both treasury dealing and treasury control functions will be highly regarded.
- Prior exposure to the Fixed Income/ Repo trading business is ideal
- Strong understanding of liquidity management, funding, balance sheet management, and treasury risk principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a hands-on environment and manage a broad range of treasury responsibilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ideal Candidate
This role is well suited to a treasury professional who enjoys working across multiple facets of treasury rather than specializing solely in front-office dealing or treasury control. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in a hybrid treasury environment, with the flexibility and motivation to contribute across funding, liquidity management, reporting, ALM, governance, and control activities.
